Speaking at the inauguration of the Jaagar Jaaniv Abhiyaan (Gender Equality campaign by the Govt of Maharashtra) at S.S. Girls’ College, Gondia, he highlighted the need for societal change to achieve true gender equality. He made these comments while presiding over the Debate Competition on Gender Equality, organised as part of the campaign. The competition was judged by Dr. Baban Meshram, a professor at N.M.D. College, and Dr. Parimal Katolkar, a professor at M. Patel Pharmacy College, Gondia.
