Abstract
The project titled 'Fashion On The Ration', based on 'World War 2 Costumes: 1945 Revival', supervised by Mrs Saziya Sheikh, HOD of Fashion Designing, and co-guided by Mrs Harsha Samarth, Ms Vaishali Sharma, and Mrs Poonam Thakur, has been submitted to RTMNU, Nagpur. It examines 1945 fashion, highlighting distinctive costumes and styles from World War II. Iconic items such as trench coats, bomber jackets, knit undershirts, chino pants, pea coats, and aviator glasses—crafted for wartime practicality—are reimagined in this collection. A photo shoot brings these military-inspired garments to life, emphasising the era's utilitarian elegance and lasting impact on fashion.
