    The book 'Sitaro Se Aage' by Anil Padmnabhan is a biography of Kalpana Chawla, the first Indian woman to travel in space. It was reviewed by Ku Karishma in Hindi and showcased at the 'Book Review Competition' in January 2025, part of the 'Vachan Pandhrwada' reading campaign by the Maharashtra Government. The reviewer emphasised that we should always face challenges with confidence and pursue our dreams, as highlighted in the book. This inspiring biography traces Kalpana Chawla's life from childhood to her astronaut journey, detailing her struggles, achievements, and unwavering determination. It is a story of inspiration and confidence designed to motivate readers to pursue their own ambitions. Kalpana Chawla was born on March 17, 1962, in Karnal, Haryana. She completed her early education there and later earned a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College. She moved to the U.S. to work at NASA and continued her education. She joined NASA in 1995 and was selected as an astronaut in 1997. Her first space mission was on the Columbia shuttle in 2003, where she spent 42 days in space. Unfortunately, she died in the space shuttle disaster during her second mission. Posthumously, she was awarded the Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India, the country's second-highest civilian honour. The book 'Sitaro Se Aage' is a tribute to Kalpana Chawla's life and legacy, inspiring readers to pursue their dreams and never give up on their aspirations. The book is a must-read for anyone who wants to know more about Kalpana Chawla's life and her journey to becoming an astronaut.
