    Students of S.S. Girls’ Mahavidyalaya, Gondia, organized a rally to spread the message of equality (Samanata ka Sandesh) by marching through the main roads of Gondia city saw a lively rally with nearly 500 students, along with faculty and staff, actively participating and shouting slogans for gender equality to raise public awareness. The event was inaugurated by Police Inspector Mr. Avinash Kaldate, who acknowledged the college's efforts in promoting social consciousness. Participants waved flags and held placards with impactful slogans related to gender equality. The occasion was marked by dedicated efforts from Dr. N. K. Bahekar (Principal), Dr. Madhuri Nasre, Dr. Aba Tiwari, Prof. Alka Patil, Prof. Rajashree Wagh, Prof. Amol Satpute, and Prof. Yogita Dhomne, all of whom worked tirelessly to organise the Jaagar Janiv Abhiyaan (JJ) event successfully. A highlight of the rally was students dressed as great national leaders like Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, Savitribai Phule, Ahilyabai Holkar, Bhagat Singh, and Lokmanya Tilak, emphasising their principles of equality, justice, and social reform. The rally made a strong impression on the public and effectively communicated the message of gender equality.

    As part of the Jaagar Janiv Abhiyaan – Gender Equality Campaign, poster and scrapbook contests were held at S.S. Girls’ College, Gondia, to raise awareness about gender equality and social justice. These activities offered students, especially those hesitant to speak publicly, a valuable platform to confidently share their thoughts, ideas, and perspectives through posters and scrapbooks. The event was attended by Chief Guests Mr. Arun Nashine and Mrs. Shobha Gadage, who praised the participants’ creativity and expressiveness. In the poster contest, Shivani won first place, Alina Khan and Sunita Sharnagat shared second, and Shahina Sheikh took third. For the scrapbook competition, Madhuri Sharnagat and Anushri Karve received the first prizes. Overall, these competitions motivated students to think critically about equality and empowerment issues and demonstrated that creative expression can be an impactful voice for those who struggle to speak out.

    'Message of Gender Equality Promoted through Rally' Under the Jaagar Jaanive Abhiyaan, Gondia Education Society’s S.S. Girls’ College organized an awareness rally to promote the message of gender equality in society. The rally was officially launched by Police Inspector Avinash Kaldatte, who gave the green flag .Principal Dr. N. K. Bahekar, along with chief guests and members of the Jaagar Jaanive team, attended the event. During the rally, students dressed as notable figures such as Lokmanya Tilak, Ahilyabai Holkar, Savitribai Phule, Begum Hazrat Mahal, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Bhagat Singh, inspiring the crowd with their legacies. They also performed a street play to raise awareness about gender equality. A large number of students and staff participated passionately, effectively spreading the message of equality, dignity, and social responsibility.
