Abstract
Ku Madhu Kumavat, a BA second-year student, wrote an essay on the significance of reading. She highlights its benefits, including boosting mental strength, expanding vocabulary, and building confidence. Reading helps shape behaviour, foster an active mind, learn about influential personalities, inspire deep learning, and increase awareness of the world's realities. It aids in decision-making, distinguishing right from wrong, and offers a formula for success and personal development.She recommends using libraries to find quality books, visiting them regularly, reading in quiet, undisturbed environments, and selecting worthwhile titles. Drawing from the character Rancho in' 3 Idiots, ' she explains the RANCHO method- Reading, Analysis, Note-making, Criticizing, Helping, and Optimising- as a key to effective reading.She emphasises the importance of reading daily, suggesting that just four pages can transform one's life.
