Submitted to University Grant Comission, Pune in the year 2017. For this research Bhandara district was selected. in Mharashtra every district was known for its special , distict textile products for example Aurangabad district is famous for Paithani sarees and Himaroo shwals, Buldhana District is known for Durrie, Kolhapur Distric was known for production of Gadak Saree and Bhandara District is known for Tussar sarees and Fabrics. The topic was selected because sericulture has become the most important industry in rural economy. it plays a dominant role in the rural development in various states of India. Handloom Sctor has been identified as a sector of Indian economy with strong potential to create jobs and contribution to foreign trade. the strength of this sector lies in the unique designs and matchless beauty and popularity all over the world. it provides employment to villagers.
