    The summary is submitted to RTMNU y Ku JYoti Rokde in the year 2016 entitled : "Resource Appraisal for Integrated Rural Development of Salekasa Taluka, Gondia District, Maharasthtra, Using remote Sensing and GIS". This study aims to assess the biophysical and socio-economic resources of Salekasa Taluka in Gondia District, Maharashtra, to determine its development potential and to formulate an integrated development plan.It will Involve creating a development strategy for optimal resource use by employing Remote Sensing and GIS as planning tools. Data from diverse sources will be linked to village boundary, polygons to analyse spatial variability. The study area is an underdeveloped Taluka with a primarily tribal population, with most land covered by forest.The district exhibits poor development indicators across various sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, food security, nutritional health,and land sanitation. Lastly, The economic aspects of the habitat are also considered.

This research was supervised by Dr. Mrs. Kalpana S. Jadav, Professor and Head of the Department of Home Science,PGTD, RTMNU, Nagpur. It presents an assessment of tribal women's nutrition knowledge and the nutritional status of their children.
