Abstract
This document summarises the PhD thesis titled "Resource Appraisal for Integrated Rural Development of Salekasa Taluka, Gondia District, Maharashtra, Using Remote Sensing and GIS" by Miss Jyoti Rokde from the Faculty of Geography at S.S. Girls College, Gondia. The central focus of the thesis is 'Rural Development' through the application of Remote Sensing and GIS techniques in Salekasa Taluka, Gondia District. The research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Arun Chaturvedi, Principal Scientist and Head of the Division of Land Use Planning at NBSS & LUP, Nagpur.This work was conducted in the Social Science Department of RTMNU
